Hi, I’m Shiba, founder of The Baby Gifting Company and proud mum of three. For years, I balanced the beautiful chaos of motherhood with work, all while carrying a quiet dream of creating something meaningful.

After my third maternity leave, I knew it was time to take the leap. The Baby Gifting Company was born out of my passion to create a luxurious, sustainable gifting brand that truly honours life’s most precious milestones. Every product is thoughtfully designed with comfort and quality in mind, and each gift is presented in our signature wrapping to ensure an unforgettable experience.

Launching this brand has been the most exciting chapter yet, and it’s only just the beginning.

My background

Before creating The Baby Gifting Company, I built my career as a digital and content specialist for a leading legal membership body. The role gave me the gift of flexibility, the chance to be there for school drop-offs, pick-ups, and sports days. Being present for those everyday milestones has always been deeply important to me, and that experience shaped both my outlook as a mother and my values in business.

It was this balance of professional fulfilment and personal presence that inspired me to create a brand devoted to celebrating life’s most meaningful moments, thoughtfully, sustainably, and with love at its heart.

Mum life 

My children are the heart and inspiration behind the brand. Becoming a mother sparked my passion for creating The Baby Gifting Company. I quickly noticed how many baby products go unused or are outgrown almost instantly, leaving parents surrounded by clutter.

At The Baby Gifting Company, our mission is to change that through a conscious gifting model, ensuring that every present from family and friends is both thoughtful and purposeful. We focus on providing only the most essential, beautifully crafted items that are built to last, creating gifts that hold meaning well beyond the early days.

It’s all about sustainability

Sustainability is at the very heart of The Baby Gifting Company and something deeply important to me. Since becoming a parent, I’ve felt a moral responsibility to help create a healthier, happier planet for my children. After having my first daughter, I became acutely aware of the sheer amount of packaging and waste that comes with children’s products, from toys wrapped in layers of plastic to clothes that quickly wear out or fail to keep up with an active toddler.

That’s why we’re committed to doing things differently. We use minimal, fully recyclable packaging and carefully curate products of the highest quality, pieces designed to stand the test of time. Our toys, clothes, and accessories are made to be cherished, with the hope that they’ll become family heirlooms, lovingly passed down from one generation to the next.

I believe we all need to be more mindful of our impact, and for me, there was never a question, I couldn’t create a business without sustainability being woven into its very core.

When I’m not working, I’m…

You’ve probably guessed it, when I’m not working on The Baby Gifting Company, I’m usually busy with my three children. From school runs and swimming lessons to last-minute homework, family life keeps me on my toes in the best possible way.

At home, one of our greatest joys is baking together. It’s a true passion of mine and something that brings us closer as a family (and keeps everyone well-fed). When I need to unwind, you’ll often find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. My kids can never resist my double chocolate sponge cake, while my husband is most likely to request my paleo chocolate chip cookies.

Alongside the busyness, I also find balance in being outdoors. Whether it’s going for an early morning run, training for my next challenge, or enjoying a quiet moment in the garden. These simple pleasures, whether shared with family or savoured in quiet moments of my own, are what keep me grounded and inspired.
