The Baby Gifting Company was founded because our founder, Shiba, had realised the amount of waste baby gifts generates when family and friends express their abundance of best wishes to newborn babies and their parents through baby gifts that are often duplicated, impractical, and of lower quality.

Each product that goes into our hampers have been carefully curated by the team at The Baby Gifting Company, following strict sustainable design principles. These include making sure that the products are made of high quality materials that are durable, non-toxic and gentle to babies, and have practical use. In addition, all hampers can be personalised with the baby’s name on it, which creates a sentimental value for keepsake.

Did you know that some of the products most loved by parents are made of recycled materials?

Even though all our products are brand new, we choose manufacturers who source either biodegradable, or recycled raw material, as much as practical. Our teddy bears are made of recycled PET bottles, and most of our wooden toys are made of recycled wood. See more about them below.

We actively promote recycling and waste reduction and therefore all our luxury magnetic gift boxes are made from high quality and durable cardboard to allow you to reuse the boxes for keepsake storage for years to come. However, if you find you do not require the use of the box we encourage you to:

Look at passing the box onto friends, family or neighbours who may wish to use the box or

Donate to local charities, nurseries or schools who can use the boxes for creative projects or stationary storage

If despite the above two options, you still require to recycle your box, we encourage you to follow our recycling guidelines.

Check your local recycling guidelines as these vary depending on location

Remove non-recyclable magnets by simply cutting through the opening lift of the gift box using a sharp knife and dispose of the magnetics appropriately using your local guidelines

Dissemble the box and flatten before placing in your main recycling bin to save space

Sort into the correct recycling bin ready for local authority bin collection

Where possible we always encourage you to seek alternative ways to reuse your boxes before recycling.
