WHY FSC CERTIFIED WOOD
FSC stands for the Forest Stewardship Council. This council certifies companies for sourcing wood that has been grown and harvested in a sustainable manner. They also certify forest managers for sustainable forestry.
Sustainable forestry means more than just healthy trees. It means that the forests are also usable for local communities and society as a whole for generations to come. It is a methodology that aims to balance the environmental, social, and economic objectives. It is about enhancing the productivity, diversity, and resilience of forests. WHY RECYCLED WOOD
Recycled wood allows us to reuse harvested timber again and again. This means we give more time for nature to regenerate itself whilst continuously producing products that are required for our daily needs.
A large portion of our wooden toys are manufactured by an award winning toy maker that has created its own patented technology which takes saw dust from rubberwood and turn them into premium wooden toys.
Their processes not only comply with all safety requirements for our babies, they also provide for a safe, non-toxic working environment for their employees that make our toys.
Our commitment is to continuously seek better toys for our customers and for the environment. We strive to reach a full range of wooden toys that are made of sustainably harvested materials in the near future, and increasing the proportion of recycled wood toys in the next few years.
